Description

Roudybush California Blend Mini Parrot Food is a pellet-based diet made with Roudybush Daily Maintenance pellets and a wholesome blend of dried fruits and vegetables. The formula includes dried peaches, apricots, plums, bell peppers, carrots, tomatoes, and cabbage for added variety and taste appeal.

This food may be used when transitioning a bird from its old diet to Roudybush. It may also be continued for adult birds that are not laying eggs or feeding chicks. For lories and lorikeets that accept this diet, droppings may be drier than they are on nectar.

The provided feeding guidance notes that chronic egg-layers or birds with a tendency to develop hypocalcemia, such as African Greys, may need a mix of 2/3 Maintenance with 1/3 High-Energy Breeder to supply more calcium and vitamin D3. Additional vitamin or mineral supplements should not be given. Fresh fruits and vegetables may be offered as a minor part of the diet.
