Building 1

The breeding of Eclectus parrots requires a specialized environment that caters to their unique needs. Our Facility Building 1 is designed with these considerations in mind, measuring 30 feet by 60 feet, providing ample space for the breeding pairs.

In addition to the breeding area, Building 1 features a dedicated kitchen area. This kitchen is equipped with a sink, a metal work table, storage shelves, and a trash container, facilitating the preparation of nutritious diets tailored to the specific dietary needs of Eclectus parrots. Proper nutrition is essential for the health and reproductive success of the birds, and having a designated space for food preparation ensures that hygiene and quality are maintained.

Furthermore, the facility includes a separate nursery area, also equipped with its own sink. This nursery is critical for the care of hatchlings and young birds, providing a controlled environment that supports their growth and development. The presence of a separate sink in this area allows for efficient cleaning and maintenance, which is vital for preventing the spread of disease among the young birds.

To ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, Building 1 also features a separate entry for a shower designated for official inspectors. This measure underscores the commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and biosecurity within the facility.

In summary, the design and layout of our Facility Building 1 reflect a comprehensive approach to the breeding of Eclectus parrots. By providing specialized spaces for breeding, nutrition, and care, we aim to promote the health and well-being of these birds, which is essential for their successful reproduction and overall conservation efforts.

The back half of Building 2 is dedicated to a full, commercial-grade kitchen. This area is equipped to support a variety of culinary operations and includes the following:

  • Stainless Steel Tables: Designed for durability and easy maintenance, providing ample workspace for food preparation and processing.
  • Commercial Refrigerator & Freezer: High-capacity refrigeration to store perishable goods at optimal temperatures.
  • Dehydrators: Used for preserving food by removing moisture, ensuring long shelf life and maintaining nutrients.

This space is optimized for food production, preservation, and processing activities.

Front Portion: Parrot Sanctuary

The front half of Building 2 serves as a sanctuary for re-homed parrots of various species. These birds have been placed in the sanctuary by owners who are no longer able to care for them due to illness or death. The parrot sanctuary includes:
